Here is a rundown of the stake activities for the next several months:
March 22-23 Priest/Laurel Mini MTC It is not to late to REGISTER
March 30 - General Young Women's Broadcast 7 pm
The speakers will be Sister Elaine Dalton, Mary Cook, Ann Dibb, and a member of the first
presidency. The theme is the 2013 Mutual Theme "Stand ye in Holy Places"
Please speak to your bishop about arranging for this to be viewed at your chapel.
For the Hattiesburg area, it will be shown at the stake center.
Mothers are encouraged to attend with their daughters. It is a great time to encourage mothers to
have a girls night with their daughters. They can go out to dinner or dessert, view the broadcast,
and spend quality time together.
April 1 - Camp $ is due. It is $100. Girls fill out a tithing slip and give it to the bishopric, then your ward clerk writes a check for your wards total and sends it to the stake clerk. You can view a sample slip HERE
April 4 - General Auxiliary Training Meeting 7:30 - 10:00pm
This will be broadcast live from Salt Lake. It is wonderful training from the general YW presidency. There are several ways to watch it.
1. Make it a night for your presidency. Have dinner together and then watch it live together.
2. It will be available on the church website for viewing afterwards, so break it down into 10 - 15
minute segments and watch a segment together during your presidency meetings.
3. Watch it alone from the comfort of your cozy chair and then discuss it later as a presidency.
Whichever way works for you and your presidency, just watch it and take lots of notes (I think I took 4 pages last year) and be prepared to be inspired and feel refreshed in your calling!

- We are asking youth to be temple worthy. So talk to your youth now, if they have anything they need to talk to the bishop about, now would be the time to do that.
- Youth will be asked to bring $ for 2 dinners. We will be stopping for dinner on the way up and on the way back. So youth will need to provide their own $ for those 2 meals. $5-8 per meal. All other meals will be provided. Youth may bring $ for their own souvenirs and snacks also but that is optional.
- Each unit will be asked to provide 1 female chaperone per 5 young women and 1 male chaperone per 5 young men. For the smaller units, we would like to have at least 1 chaperone if you are sending youth.
- We are requiring our chaperones to be 21 years old and temple recommend holders. They should be mature adults who can relate to the youth, but can also exercise good judgement in dealing with any "surprises" that occasionally arise when traveling and dealing with youth.
- We will be staying at 2 locations in Nauvoo. Girls at one place, boys at another. We have rooms reserved at the Nauvoo Villas and we have reserved the historic Nauvoo house in Old Nauvoo. It is equipped with a commercial kitchen and will serve as our base camp while in Nauvoo.
More info will be coming. But have your youth mark their calendars now and plan to attend!
