Youth Conference Registration is now online!
Youth Conference is July 9-13, 2013
Youth ages 14-18 are invited to attend.
Youth & Adult chaperones will need a temple recommend.
Tentative Schedule:
- Depart the Hattiesburg Stake Center on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 9.
- Travel by charter buses.
- Arrive in Nauvoo, IL in the early morning of Wednesday, July 10.
- Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be filled with activities in and around Old Nauvoo.
- Activities include baptismal sessions at the Nauvoo Temple, handcart trek, touring Carthage Jail, visiting the historic Nauvoo sites, and the Nauvoo Pageant.
- Lodging will be set up 2 locations. Boys will bunk at the Historic Nauvoo House. Girls will stay at the Nauvoo Villas.
- Meals will be provided while in Nauvoo.
- Everyone will need to bring cash for dinner Tuesday on the bus and dinner Friday on the bus ($5-10 per meal). You may bring $ for souvenirs and snacks also.
- We will leave for home on Friday afternoon, July 12. Travel through the night and arrive at the Hattiesburg Stake Center early Saturday morning.
Our goals and purpose of the Nauvoo Youth Conference is:
- To develop and strengthen friendships
- Learn church history
- Feel the Spirit of the early saints
- Strengthen testimonies of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In order to obtain those goals, youth and chaperones are asked to abide by an Honor Code in accordance with the Strength of Youth Standards. This code maybe found on the registration form.
We are requiring you to abide by a Technology Honor Code. Youth will be allowed to bring cell phones, iPods, and small electronic devices. We are asking you not to use them during shows, tours, & group activities. In keeping with the standards of the Strength of Youth, there should to be NO pornographic or explicit videos, pictures, or music on your electronics. Having these devices is a privilege. Should you choose to use them inappropriately, you will loose this privilege and have your electronics taken from you and returned upon arrival at the Hattiesburg, MS Stake Center on Saturday morning.

- MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDAR
- STUDY & LEARN about the SAINTS OF NAUVOO
- READ JOSEPH SMITH HISTORY
- BE TEMPLE RECOMMEND WORTHY
- If you are not worthy, GET WORTHY, so you can feel the Spirit of the Lord in your life.
- REGISTER HERE
- COUNT DOWN THE DAYS!
